When you have to create a 28-page magazine that you will be staring at into oblivion, you pick something you love.
For me, that obviously meant music. Named after stereo’s predecessor, Mono is a music magazine that delves into modern musicians who fly just under the radar. The issue serves as a stylistic template; setting the tone, layout, and brand standards for all following editions. That meant having to create a nameplate, design department pages, illustrate my feature article, and consider every element in between.
